A lucky winner won the chance to talk with New Moon director, Chris Weitz!
I know Edward’s car is now a dark silver, but was there any reason for the change?
A.) Availability. Volvo wanted to introduce a new car into the series, instead of the older model. So they provided a newer model, brown Volvo. Immediately we knew it had to be repainted, and chose a dark, non-shiny, black colour. It added more to the first Edward scene in the movie, the feeling is upbeat but the colour of the vehicle adds to the danger lurking.

The Hillywood Show put together this hysterical New Moon parody!!
Here are some fun facts they put out regarding the making of the video:
Bella’s truck in ‘New Moon’ Parody is the official screen-used truck seen in Summit Entertainment’s: Twilight.
The core of this video was shot in Forks & La Push in Washington.
The coldest day on set was 22 degrees.
New Moon’ Parody took a total of 5 months to complete including pre-production, production & post-production with a total of 22 separate days of filming.

New Moon screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg recently chatted with MTV about her deviation from the book when it came to Harry Clearwater’s death.
Melissa reveals her thought process. “In the book, Harry Clearwater’s death, heart attack is mentioned as something that’s off screen, although it plays a crucial role in the structure of the books. Entertainment Weekly has a new interview with New Moon director Chris Weitz, where he reveals that he made the film for the fans, not the critics!
On his biggest fear for opening weekend:
I didn’t have any particular fears. The tracking numbers were enough to indicate that I wouldn’t be letting the studio down. New Moon DVD Details!

Director Chirs Weitz chatted with MTV about DVD details for New Moon – set to release in the first quarter of 2010.
“There will be a commentary track,” Weitz revealed “It’ll just be us riffing off each other in our intimate way. “We kind of like each other, so that should be fun.”
Also included:
A scene with Rachelle Lefevre as Victoria driving to Forks in a car, snacking on a dead human. It was one of the final moments the actress filmed as the nomadic vampire.
