Taylor Lautner was spotted smiling away as he signed autographs for fans in Miami, Florida yesterday (February 6th) … unlike some other celebs we know that aren’t so thrilled to be in the spotlight!!!

Taylor also interviewed during the DirectTV Celebrity Beach Bowl (interview after the jump) and chats about doing extreme mixed martial arts. “It’s for defense and you don’t want to be the one starting the fight,” he says. I love that he tries to play it off like its nothing!
He also reveals that he played football for eight years. Go Taylor!

Taylor Lautner and Kellan Lutz headed over for some football frenzy during the 2010 DirecTV Celebrity Beach Bowl on Saturday morning (February 6th)!

The Twilight Saga stars played on the blue team with Olivia Munn, Chace Crawford and model Marisa Miller.
The crowd wouldn’t stop squealing for him and sportscaster Dan Patrick remarked, “I think if Taylor Lautner were out here by himself, that would be enough for this crowd.”
NFL quarterback Eli Manning also got it wrong, calling Taylor a vampire. Grrr!!!

Taylor Lautner has landed the role of title character Stretch Armstrong!
Universal has cast the Twilight Saga hunk to play the character based on the Hasbro toy. The studio is giving Stretch superhero powers in the new 3D franchise that is scheduled for release in 2012.
Universal Pictures Co-Chairman Donna Langley says, “In the past two years, Taylor has emerged as a real star at the global box office. “Sorry Taylor but the movie Valentine’s Day looks lame and desperate,” Alex writes on Twitter. “It cries out, ‘look we have all the biggest starz in 1 movie pleez watch!’ ”
He then backpedaled and says “P.S. it has nothing to do with the talented actors in the movie. I just don’t like the producer & Directors’ ‘get rich quick skeem’ nuff said.”

Taylor Lautner was interviewed about his upcoming movie Valentine’s Day. He talks about his character Willy, why he got involved with this film and his hurdling stunt.
“Willy is a normal high school student. He’s on the track team, he’s the star athlete. He’s got a beautiful girlfriend. Things are going good in Willy’s life!”

Northern Lights is about “a gifted, young, aerobatics pilot who faces off with his controlling billionaire father and falls in love with a gifted, female pilot”.

Taylor Lautner was apparently much in demand for interviews on the red carpet of the 67th Annual Golden Globes! Not surprising considering the success of the Twilight Saga
Taylor chats with E! News about his visit to the Olive Garden and what he looks for in a girl. He also reveals he’s still SINGLE and just wants to be able to go to dinner without the paparazzi.
